Starlink Satellite Internet - Unboxing and Setup - Super Easy!!!

We upgraded from a cellular smart-hub to Starlink Satellite, and what an upgrade it is. We went from 10-20 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up to 250-50 Mbps down and 20-10 Mbps up, making YouTube uploads faster and downloads of video and webpages a non-issue. It's worth it.

This really is such a game changer, being able to get high speed internet in the most remote areas is so awesome.

This was the best Starlink setup video as far as showcasing the app. Thanks a ton! I like to know what to expect before jumping into something new.

I’m saving up to buy one. I’m retired and living on a fixed income. Looking around May ‘24 to buy it. So excited. Happy with the videos on here.

We have been waiting for ours for over a year+ (guessing) down here in Lafayette, LA USA. Just received unit today and watched your video before i opened the package. Extremely excited, as my upload speeds for over 5 years have been 7-10Mbps and uploads at 0.6 - 2 Mbps if I'm lucky! Thanks for the video!

I just got the Starlink package today. I had an issue I thought I should relate. I am in the northern hemisphere so expected a northern view which I had. I mounted the base first. I didn't notice until it was screwed down that there was a keyway. The keyway was to the south. I hooked everthing up and waited for it to hook up and I waited and I waited. I started to think "is that keyway important?" Maybe the head doesn't rotate 360 degrees? It is possible. So I went back up the ladder and removed the head and turned the base 180 degrees. Turn the power back on and it hooked up in seconds. Long story short the keyway is important apparently and it doesn't say that anywhere that I saw. If you are in the northern hemisphere put the key on the north end and on the south end if in the southern hemisphere. Maybe I am wrong about something but that is my experince first day. It now works and it is fast and that is all I care.

We just got ours! We live in Rural Northeastern Ontario and we were pretty impressed with how fast it shipped from California. A little over 2 weeks. Can't wait to set it up this weekend.

Awesome.. I am in Montana and have CenturyLink, possibly the worst provider in the land, so Starlink is now available in Montana.. I had to stop doing my YT channel because a 30 min upload took 6 hours.. so I am soooo interested in getting this. Thanks so much.

Still sucks that the equipment price when we first signed up was $499 and the monthly was going to be $105 a month…..2 1/2yrs later when our turn finally came the equipment was up to $549, $50 shipping fee, and it’ll be $120 a month. We almost changed our minds with the price but we’re so desperate for good internet we caved and went for it lol

Received my box today and will hopefully set up this evening. Thx so much for the helpful video. And thank you Starlink!

Thanks for keeping it simple and straight. I noticed nothing like screws were used to affix the base to its support. So how would one ensure the base is tightly fixed to maintain a firm hold of the dish? What's the extension mechanism of the network?

Bro! It was so easy!! I’m here now, middle of nowhere, no cell, no cable, no nothing… and starlink is faster than Xfinite at home!
I haven’t tested the range to the barn yet cause it’s been raining…. It I was thinking, I have a outdoor plug that’s close to the house and a little closer to the barn with no obstructions, I might build a little waterproof spot for it there if need be…
My dish is not even in a good spot(according to the app) and it works flawlessly, have not had one single interruption of any kind so far.
I need to get the longer cord tho, I haven’t looked at the store yet, can you connect the 2 cords together, or it’s one or the other? I feel like I want more than 150…unless I do my starshed idea then I can use the 75…

Looking forward to an update, I'm about an hour from Edmonton and my starlink just came today. I also had a telus smarthub because it was the only option here, at its fastest it was 20mbps down and 1mbps up but the average was 15mbps down and 0.5mbps up.

Our place in line FINALLY came up. We’ve only been waiting since February 13, 2021 on the pre-order wait list!!!! 😂 Our box arrives tomorrow. With a 2 1/2yr wait I sure hope we get the awesome high speed it promises. We’ve been stuck with horrible internet from the one and only company that offered us a whole 10Gb on a good day lol…..speed test usually shows it going up and down between 1gb-7gb and upload oh lord we’re talking kbps…..one game can take almost 2 days to download. We are looking forward to having our apps and games run without lagging and our service constantly disconnecting when more than two people are connected at once. It’s going to be like Christmas around here! Fingers crossed 🤞

Great video! Much thanks! Very...VERY rural & only option is .*** Mbps (embarrassing). Question please, should we worry about damage from ice rain & hail?

Excellent presentation. I do have 2 questions: 1) Does phone service come included in the home internet service. 2) If you install the dish on top of your house, what will you do about snow buildup on it?
Thanks,
Ben Pellom

I was wrong it’s not Ethernet cabling. I’m not sure if 75ft is enough or if you need 150ft. It looks like the pole mount would work well.
