Watch: Student stops bus after driver passes out

A 7th grader from Michigan is being honored for his heroic actions after a school bus driver became lightheaded and the bus veered into oncoming traffic. That’s when 13-year-old Dylan Reeves took control and stopped the bus.

Yes! Thank you Dylan! Thank you Dad for teaching him the basics! My grandmother did the same for me and my sister, I remember my sister telling me about how our grandmother fell asleep on the road and she was able to take over. Had she not been taught, who knows what would’ve happened. Lessons come in handy when you think about situations like this, sometimes a child maybe the only person that can assist in a time of need! What great assistance Dylan provided for that driver and his bus mates!

Whoop whoop way to go kid!!!! I am a mother of a 13 year old boy who is a 8th grader in junior high and he rides the bus to and from This kid is a mini hero it's absolutely amazing how calm and how he stepped up and saved everyone on the bus and the driver he knew to call 911 right As a parent I am sure this mother and father are just over whelmed with proudness, happiness, and excitement and I bet they were alittle scared as well, that's a pretty scary but proud moment 🌹💜

Good job, mom and dad I know I’m not. The only one cried watching this video. . I have grandsons who are country boys and they’ve driven everything you can think of to drive just about and I think they could do this also because they’re pretty levelheaded but it’s amazing and I’m so proud of him and everyone on the road and everyone in the bus and the families of those on the bus have so much to be thankful for. ❤ it is good that he has experience. I just love stories like this they help I missed all the bad things going on.
