The government doesn’t seem to have any trouble paying out for war, they have no problem supplying the military industrial complex, never hear a word. So fund Medicare and social security and go about your business

These are the ideas that got us where we are. If you think that's not great... well if you want something you've never had, you're going to have to do something you've never done.

It's quite obvious, you can't run the debt up like they have and keep paying for all the massive programs, this man is spot on

The federal government borrowed a lot of money from the Social Security Administration; has the government paid back?

Please dont fall for these videos. These discussions are nothing more than pre-scripted skits design to make Milton Friedman's ideas appear unreproachable. Milton Friedman was highly paid lobbyist for large corporations. This is pure propaganda.

No such thing as a social good for neoliberals.

The thing conservatives don't understand is that sometimes, something are done because they need to be done, not because they are cost effective.

I have been paying for over 30 years. I hope there is something when I get there.

Not having a social security net like public medical care is making sure your kids will pay all of their lives for treatments you'll receive from 60 to 80-90 years old, and their kids pill pay for them, ad vitam eternam. Public medical care is a very simple mechanic: everyone pays a little so everyone can receive what they need when they need it without being afraid of getting in debt and missing their next mortgage payment because they had to take an ambulance to the ER.
