Offline Method:

This method involves changing the date/time of your console. If you do not agree with this method, an online method is included below.

1. Go to "My Games & Apps" then "Apps" then "Settings" then "Network" and then "Go offline" & "Forget Wireless Network"
2. Hard reset your console by holding the power button for 5-10 seconds.
3. Sign in and go to "My Games & Apps" then "Apps" then "Settings" then "System" and then change the date to any of the follow dates:

January 1st (New Year's Day): Make Love Not War
April 22nd (Earth Day): A skull with a recycling sign
May 5th (Cinco De Mayo): Toady Was Live!
July 4th (Independence Day): BBQ at Bob's
October 31st (Halloween): A grave stone that has the initials "R.I.P."
November 11th (Veteran's Day): Kilroy Was Here
December 25th (Christmas): A Christmas light with an “X” marked through it

4. With the changed date, load Halo MCC, select a custom game in Halo 3 on Valhalla.
5. Go to the turret side and look at the white sign/symbol on the large metal wall.
6. Go to your settings and change the date again to another one listed above.
7. Go back into Halo MCC, and view the new sign on the wall in the Halo 3 map.
8. Go to "My Games & Apps" then "Apps" then "Settings" then "Network" and connect to your wireless connection by selecting it and entering the password. The achievement will unlock as soon as your Xbox connects to Xbox Live.

Online Method:

This achievement requires you to view two date specific signs on the multiplayer map Valhalla in Halo 3. The date are as follows:

January 1st (New Year's Day): Make Love Not War
April 22nd (Earth Day): A skull with a recycling sign
May 5th (Cinco De Mayo): Toady Was Live!
July 4th (Independence Day): BBQ at Bob's
October 31st (Halloween): A grave stone that has the initials "R.I.P."
November 11th (Veteran's Day): Kilroy Was Here
December 25th (Christmas): A Christmas light with an “X” marked through it

On one of these days, in your local timezone, you will need to load a custom game in Halo 3 on Valhalla, and then go to the turret side and look at the white sign/symbol on the large metal wall. On the dates listed above, the sign will be unique and the achievement will unlock after viewing two of them!

to those who wanna do it on pc. here's the steps:
- change your date to dec 25
- turn Internet off, restart computer
- launch mcc (steam in offline mode)
- do the process. change the date mid game (like in the video to jan 1)
- exit the game, revert your time send date, reconnect to the Internet
- relaunch mcc. you should have them achievements :)))

Still works as of 5/25/2020. I did have to do this entire process two separate times though. It only gave me 50% completion for following these exact instructions so I did the process another time and then it popped. Thanks for the guide.

Can confirm the method still works as of today. Just takes a bit of time, patience, and persistence as it can take a little bit for the achievement to unlock on your account and may require more than one attempt even if instructions are followed.

July 26th 2020: Works fine on PC. On Windows 10 you need to turn off automatic date/time in your settings. Easy to turn back on after.
As shown in video you can change the date mid-game.

I have done this exactly how you showed and no achievement. It worked for the Zanzibar one, which is even more weird.

It doesn't even say "unlocking", it's just stuck at 0%.

(if you're doing it the manual way)
tip: to make sure it registered, go to menu > options & career > career > halo 3 > multiplayer. then scroll down to the bottom and scroll up till you find it. if your first sign registered it will say 1/2.

This still worked for me today. I got it on the third try using different dates every time. Once I finished my game it popped for me after like 2 minutes. Follow the exact steps.
