Hair Technique for overnight blowout…
Where to even begin. So, there’s a trend on social media related to all things “overnight” hair. Wether it’s heatless curls, heatless waves, overnight volume or overnight blowout. It’s taking the internet by storm. I will say, the first time I saw this overnight blowout hair technique, I was shocked at the results. All you need are some clean socks, Flexi Rods or curling rods and you’re able to achieve the most incredible volume in your hair with beautiful blowout results. Say no more.

One thing to mention after sleeping or lack there of overnight with Flexi Rods in my hair, I will never sleep with this technique again. The entire and following day, my scalp was so sensitive to the touch. Ouch. The results on the other hand, is something else to note. Incredible. But is it worth the sleepless night? You tell me.

My mom used to do this to our hair. She made her own rollers out of newspaper about as long as the ones you have here and then would wrap them with material and then wrap sections of our hair and we had beautiful curls the next morning. This brought back so many memories. By the way it was the 60’s.

90's hair is making a comeback! Big, bouncy volume.

Some tips: Roll the top back and away from the face for a better hairline. Brush the hair as far forward as you can in each section. Don’t tighten the flexi rods as much. Use only 2 sections for a more comfortable sleep.

Thanks for ur honesty about how uncomfortable it was to sleep in & ur later sensitivity.

I used just the two sections on the top of the head, no discomfort while sleeping as no rods pressing into the head. Very happy with the results.

I tried this method a couple days ago and I managed to wear a very decent wavy blowout for two days (and I went to the gym and all!). I think what did it for me was that I heat styled my hair with my straightener first and then used the method to "set" the style and keep it for a couple days.

simple and easy tutorial without the long talk about other stuff, you go direct to the point. thaaanks! hate when hair tutorial go like bla bla bla bla for 20 minutes until they get to show the process. forever grateful for that.

Thank you for such honest feedback! I was thinking there was something wrong with me as other influencers kept saying that they didn’t feel them at all overnight and they got great sleep!

I love how you get straight into the main content of the video.

YesHipolito just came out with the perfect sized velvet rods!!! They don't slip and they stay in the hair and she has 2 whole whole videos on them on how to do them correctly. Also do 2, it's much easier to sleep in, or 3 if you're lounging about the house. Or stack them the "mickey mouse method" if you sleep on your back.
The satin bonnet helps lock in the heat of your head setting the curls. Also you need to suuuper extend the hair forward so the back roller is on the top of your hair.

It looks good with the side part. The first time I saw this technique, she did it on a plane to have perfect hair when she arrived.

Try spraying a bit of water so that it shapes and keeps the form. Also, to prevent the fall, you can use clips to secure at the root

My neighbor Debbie used to use tin cans to set her hair and she even slept with them!!! I asked her one day how she could sleep and she told me that it wasn’t a big deal after while and not too bad!!! I’ve pretty much had a pixie cut so far never could fully understand how she did it!! Ha. Btw, it always turned out beautiful!! 😃

I started do this method about a week ago. This is the only thing have ever been able to sleep in. You really checked out how “yeshipolito” does it. 2 comments 1(I really found more than 2 really doesn’t work for me, you really have to get on top of head. 2( use clips on the back to hold the second one in place. I found using 2 alligator clips really works. I like to brush all up and forward, then clips in opposite directions to catch all the hair. After that you can let your hair go while you roll it up. P.S. I use 1, 1.25” rods in each sock and you really in it the sock. And I used frizz ease dream curls on my mid to my ends. Oh and I leave my bangs out.

I actually like the parting in the middle but also to the side. This gave you great volume 😊.

I'd forgo the sock stuffing and use the huge flexirods because socks are drying and could cause frizz. I would also use a satin scarf instead of a bonnet because it will hold better. 💜

The “flexi rods” from the 80s were more comfortable to wear at night. The foam was thicker, just more well-made. Wish I’d kept my set.

I think it was uncomfortable to sleep in coz of the 2 back sections. ppl who said it's comfortable did 2 sections only both going on top of their heads. let us know if you try 2 partitions.
Overall, thanks for the review and how it stays on your hair. I think it stays longer on slightly coarser hair.
Looks good.

It looks amazing at the beginning of the day and at the end!! Was not expecting it to look that good by the end of the day bc I have the same exact hair type as you!
