Scammer Regrets Trying to Steal My Camera!

You ever had someone try to send you a fake payment for an item you were selling online? That happened to me! Check out how I uncover this scam and make this scammer's life miserable.

Note: Originally I had a section of this video that was sponsored by a company selling souvenir plots in Scotland. It’s a totally fun idea, and I even bought one for myself (and love it), but I ultimately felt like I didn’t do a good job of explaining the real nature of them. I can see see how it looked misleading. So, I decided to trim that section out and not take the payment from the sponsor. I may make a video in the future explaining these types of products and what they do and do not represent. But until then, and whenever I do a sponsored post, I’ll work on explaining the actual value that comes with the products I endorse. Sorry ya'll.

watermarks are definitely something to consider when selling online. helps keep scammers from stealing your pictures and using them to scam people, which happens A LOT on Facebook

True story I'm unfortunately a victim of this scam but in a far grosser context....When I was a teenager I was trying to sell my prom dress, and put up the listing on Craigslist. I received a text from someone interested but they wanted to verify that the dress would fit them so they asked for more photos, and spefically photos of me to ensure we were "similar sizes" unfortunately I'm extremely petite and I struggle with finding clothes that fit me so I releated to the scammer.

Then "she" proceeded to send me photos of bras and herself in a bra(I can only assume these are photos of victims) and wanted me to do the same, then it got gross real quick and "she" wanted photos of me braless to better ensure we had the same breast size, and then finally said "you can't tell me you've never send nudes before". Obviously this person was a disgusting individual trying to scam young girls into sending inappropriate images to them. I blocked the number.
I also never list anything on Craigslist anymore lol.. Hopfully this comment raises awareness about this kind of scam. There's some really disgusting folks out there man, be careful.

You had the opportunity to send literally ANYTHING to that address knowing it would be auto forwarded to the scammer in Nigeria and you DIDN’T take advantage of it? Surprised you didn’t get Mark Rober to send a glitter bomb… or pull a classic Pleasant Green and send some poop…

Serious question here. How do you know the shipping company isn't in on it? They could be part of the scam and just told you they'd shut down the account but won't. I guess there's nothing you can do except take their word for it. The only other thing would be to turn it all over to law enforcement who might be able to investigate the shipping company, also.

Ben- your videos make my day. Yes they are enlightening, but more importantly, you are engaging and you pull the viewers in. Love it!

Pleasant Green, you should’ve been like,

“Dude, I am using this camera right now,

After I am done.”

I laughed out loud when the Nigeria Tune plays after showing where's that small logistics company in Texas specializes in shipping to.

Great video but disappointed that you are promoting a scam sponsor. It is just some Hong Kong based Chinese investors printing worthless certificates. They aren't planting trees. There is no mention of your name on the Land Registry, so even if owning land would get you a title, you don't actually ever own land. They are probably mapping the coordinates of random forests in the Highlands. In the UK, some land/property can come with titles, but as you can imagine they are rare, inherited properties only and titles knock up the price of the property. Usually the titles can only be passed down blood relatives and cease if there is a break for whatever reason.

I am staying subscribed - but I am surprised this sponsor got through your due diligence.

Established Titles is quickly becoming a thing similar to RAID. Seeing this one everywhere lately.

Ben would you please check to make sure that Established Titles is not a scam. We bought a couple of these for our girls and they put lords instead of ladies. I did an internet check on the company and I found a lot of information that it was a fraud. The are a Hong Kong company. I also discovered you can not use titles unless you pay a lot of money for a Barrons title.

Nice, video. I love to watch your videos. Same happened to me multiple times too, when I was selling my camera lens on eBay. Scammers from GB are constantly checking items there and tried to scam me with fake bank accounts, fake transactions and fake emails. They always want to pay the full price instantly instead of trying to get a better offer. Quite funny, but annoying. 😋

If they ask you "will you ship the item, if I send you the money", then you have to answer "yes, as soon as the money arrives at my bank account", because they will use a fake bank account (instead of sending you the money directly, which they never mention before) and tell you that they sent you the money but that this (fake) bank is withholding the money and will send it to your bank AFTER you have sent your item and confirmed it with a tracking number. Classic! 😂
