After talking with someone who has access to Act 1, I found out that some of the demo video animations were done in post-processing. You can’t use a source video—just still images, so only the face/upper body moves unless you add a green screen and an animated background. Just an FYI As to me, it looks like they are using source video's in some of the demonstration videos.

I just want to see kids and teens making movies, like we use to take the tape cam-corders and try to make our own versions of superman and jaws when we were 12. I bet the most imaginative stuff would come out of the simplest home movie productions . Somebody is going become rich starting the equivelant of netflix mixed with youtube, with that basic concept of everyday normal people making blockbuster short movies and full length films and series, its just a matter of months before we see the first site popup

I’m actually working on a screenplay and seeing tools like this is genuinely amazing and has a TON of potential for the future of independent productions. Imagine being able to have a 2D animated film that looks like a painting and it NOT cost a billion dollars! I’ve seen lots of emerging technologies that are inching closer to this but the fluidity and lack of breaking here is genuinely amazing, especially when compared to prior methods which often required significantly more reference frames.

My recommendation to people who like films especially animation made using non ai techniques, is to start thinking of them as a finite resource and make sure you appreciate every watch cause I don't think we are gonna have them much longer.

This new Act-1 feature looks impressive! I noticed some of the demo video's includes characters speaking with other animations happening in the background, however, I have been reading that this is not possible without masking after the fact. It'd be great to have clarity to know what to expect before resubbing to runway.
