It took a lifetime but Thundery Bay finally got the beautiful waterfront to go along with it's spectacular view of Thunder Bay harbor and the Sleeping Giant. Hopefully this will spur redevelopment of the downtown which hasn't changed in over half a century and is looking sad according to your other video.

I don't understand why Thunder Bay hasn't thrived. Next to Vancouver it has probably the most beautiful natural setting of any city in Canada and yet the population has remained stagnant if not in decline since the '70's.

Thunder Bays water front is a very nice piece of infrastructure, I don't believe its enough to move the cities economic needle to any degree. It does attract a certain amount of tourism it can only generate an income during the relatively short summer months and only to a select crowd that can appreciate the attraction. As kevinkeswick 1243 stated the downtown core is in need of redevelopment but the revenue from the marina would not be sufficient to make that happen. The city should be spending its resources on attracting better industries with good paying jobs. Maybe then they could entice more young people to come and start families to replace all the baby boomers, like myself, that fled the city in 70's and 80's. Great job with your videos showing what the town is and could be to the rest of Canada and around the world.
