A beautiful place to spend a short while in. SInce I come from a bustling city, this is a little too lonely for me to be as ease with, in the long run. Thanks for the video!

Early morning in the 'south core' of Thunder Bay would be more accurate.
There was one shot of Court St. which is in the 'north core'. The 'north core' of Thunder Bay has a substantial marina, and has what is becoming the entertainment and dining hub as well. Well accessible parks and trail systems are located much more in the north part of the city.

There is a reason, in my opinion, that the streets are empty today. I"m 74 years old and was born and raised in Current River neighbor hood. During the 50's and 60's Port Arthur and Fort William, now Thunder Bay were in a boom time. Most if not all the grain from the Prairies was shipped through Thunder Bay and all east/ west traffic had to pass through the city. Then the west coast and Churchill Manitoba built grain handling facilities which diverted grain away from Thunder Bay. Around the same time the Express Way was constructed to by-pass the city which had a devastating effect on tourism and the commercial industry as people could now refuel and continue on with out the need to actually go through the city. Thunder Bay tried desperately to reinvent itself as the outdoor life go to which had a moderate effect as the population has barely risen in the last fifty years. It remains a beautiful area with plenty of interesting sites and things to do.

Thinking of moving there. If I can ever get the money.

In a previous video you showed Kakabeka Falls 20 minutes from Thunder Bay and the Terry Fox monument. There are other areas of Thunder Bay that are missing from the video like Current River, Hillcrest Park, Mount McKay lookout and Old Fort William. Just some places that could show the scenic areas. I know you couldn’t cover everything but the tired streets of the city don’t tell the whole story.

Empty streets indeed. Yes, it's a tad bit dystopian.

It's mainly so empty because this downtown area is the most dangerous area to be in and people tend to avoid it

Live Free: Judging from appearance, Thunder Bay seems to be a very clean and, hopefully, crime free or low crime city. It also appears to be quite idyllic/scenic and it seems to be an ideal location for a city, such as Thunder Bay to grow and prosper. If I were younger, I might consider moving to such a place.

I grew up in Thunder Bay. I'm not sorry to no longer live there. In fact my last place was on memorial ave.
