Unfortunately this didn't work for me. I turned it on and let it sit for 23 minutes before I went outside right next to it and didn't notice any dent in mosquito population.

I wasn't sure if maybe I did something wrong, that's why I looked to this video, which I'm very thankful for. It seems I did everything right, it just didn't work for me.

I find it kind of strange  that this product has been out for over a year, and with all the videos on You Tube advertising this product, I have yet to read a comment from anyone who has purchased this product and said that is actually works.  There are also no videos anywhere of anyone who is not being paid to advertise this, doing a demonstration out in the woods to show if it works.

I don’t have this particular one, but I have 4 of the ones for the patio and without them I would never be able to sit outside during the summer without being bitten all over. 5 years ago I got bitten one time to many and the bite area got infected and developed into cellulitis and spent 5 days in the hospital and a minor surgery to drain the infection. I put these out each late afternoon and overlap the coverage area so that I can be outside and enjoy watching all my birds, butterflies and plants. They do work and my legs don’t get eaten up. But you could put one under the patio table for extra protection. I’m not rich, but being able to enjoy my back yard is worth anything. I’m very grateful to this company for developing this product. I have not been paid to endorse Thermacell Mosquito Repellent products!

Per the name and all its descriptions it's for mosquitoes but any idea if it detracts gnats also?
