Great review. I just came across your channel as I am looking for another Thermacell. I have several and have used them for years. The downfall is the ones I have aren’t rechargeable so I end up spending a fortune. Not just the starter fluid but the little mats that hold the repellent. I’m looking for a more cost effective option as I use my Thermacell pretty much non stop as soon as it starts to get warm. Misquotes LOVE me for some reason 🤬 I just sprayed myself with bug spray for the first time this year 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

I live in Central Florida, in a swampy area, this is the only mosquito repellent I have ever used that actually works and I am 79 years old. Have lived in Florida over 60 years and have tried it ALL. On top of that, my skin is allergic to deet! So, no spray! This allows me to work outside on the tractor, or sit on my back porch (unscreened) all hours of the wee morning and not have even one buzz. I turn my e55 OR the green portable on, about 30 min prior to going out, to heat, diffuse and remove all skeeters. THIS IS WITH OUT A DOUBT THE BEST EVER!!!

What I dont get is the fact that allethrin isn't safe when inhaled, however, under the section "exposure limit", there is no information on recreational use.

I get that it works, but this gives of some Monsanto vibes.

It’s a shame we can’t refill these cartridges as its a total waste and not good on the environment by chucking these plastic cases away🤷‍♂️👎 a bit like the gas cartridges but they can be refilled with a bit of jiggery!🤣🤣👍 great video well presented thanks 👍

Your instructions are absolutely excellent! I was battling with my new E55 to get the lid off - but I was sure I was doing everything right - so I looked for demos and found yours. You were the only one who showed how to take the lid off, including the tip of making sure to keep it upright! Other people doing demos should take a leaf out of your book!

So, it does appear that I've set it up correctly. But what you need to do in the instructions is tell people to wait 15 mins. I didn't see that in the instructions with my unit. I turned it on and left it on the patio table and then went to sit down about 5 mins later (very close to the unit). I had 3 mosquitoes on me in minutes and got bitten by one. Next time I will leave it on for 20 mins before going outside. I just sent a note to the company complaining that it did not work but now I'm willing to give it one more try. I'm very sensitive to mosquito bites and get big lumps so I'll be unhappy if it doesn't work.

So if you are roughing it and don't have hydro. You got to purchase some sort of battery device it can plug on into. And who knows how long the battery can last with this device. And how much does the battery cost? But when the battery device dies. You are out of luck Would need to get the battery charged again. And so how? When you have no hydro to begin with. So the device would need to have D cell batteries instead. And perhaps if it ever did take D cell batteries. It might use up that battery power very fast. Also you got to obviously purchase the device. And the cartridges cost 20 dollars after every 36 hours. So this is going to be about 200 dollars just to get started. Especially if you are camping without hydro. This is not including cartridges. And yet I hear people say it does a great job. But I can imagine that its not as great as people say it is.

Thank you for this video. I just purchased the E55. I got it on QVC and on the box, it just said E Series so now I know what model it is.
