Excellent video. Probably the best explanation of a magnetic starter with pressure switch. Great job!

Thank you for your video. You were the only one I watched that made it clear by the diagram and the actual connections. Very much appreciated.

The only video that make clear how to do this. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for that. Sometimes I think manufacturers are in league with electricians to make simple stuff "appear" complicated. I have a new compressor coming with a single phase switch so this is helpful.

Good video, Thanks. Still can use that old pressure SW as a backup. One side side of contacts still good for the signal.

So what about if my starter has a push button start and stop. I’m trying to add my pressure switch into it but when it’s wired where I’m told, it will turn on the compressor but not off and the buttons will not work with the pressure switch wired

What about the second coil terminal (a2) a wire has to be on it for the coil to pull in. You show no wire on a2.

is there any reason why you couldn't do this with a 3.5hp compressor that's 15A?

Did you have to remove any jumpers ? I have the same mag switch and it is telling me to remove jumper “C” and “D” for seperate control.

So does your pressure switch on/off switch turn it on and off?

Great video very helpfull. Your power wire coming into the starter is that hardwired to the breaker or do you have a plug at the end of it and you just plug in the wall???? 👍👍👍👍👍

Excellent explanation, was easy to follow along. I have a 5 hp speed air I just picked up. Was told I needed a starter to make it work. Its old and so is the switch but worked in his shop. Did not get the starter with it. I think I need the same type of setup you have. Do you have part numbers for the starter and the switch? If I could duplicate what you have it would save me from getting the wrong parts. Thank You.

Liked the video but am having some issues. I have a new WEG starter with an on and off switch. It works fine, but I seem to be unable to get the pressure switch to control the starter. I tried bypassing the onboard on off switch, and can get the pressure switch to start the compressor, but not switch it off. Grrr. Any wiring suggestions?

At 9 mins you say 110v in, did you mean 220v in?
