Can't wait to watch this variety as it progresses through the season! I've never grown this variety and love hearing about/seeing weird new varieties! Keep us posted.

I just planted some of these so I will let you know. I decided to plant these because I will be canning and they have a reputation of producing lots of big tomatoes. I started mine from seeds and they are about2 feet high.

Jamie That Italian tomato tree sounds interesting they have vines up to 20 feet long is pretty large but I think the most important thing and I think you’ll agree with me is what did the tomatoes taste like it seems over the past years tomatoes have been losing their flavor not like they were 15 years ago when they were so sweet you just make a tomato sandwich in the summertime

I'm growing these.. so far they are about maybe 3ft...thought they would climb but so far I can't see that so kinda have them tied to a chain link fence...see what happens. Started mine in The house.

I got my seed from Burgess 25 years ago. I save my best tomato for seeds every summer. These are the super tastiest of all. Potato leafed huge heat and sun loving heavy plants. They need a HUGE container unless you grow them in the richest ground like I do. They are too heavy for any of the ordinary tomato cages and gimmicks. The tomatoes are variable looking on the same vine. One will be an oxheart, the next stem over a brandywine and once in a while a huge beefsteak. They'll surprise you if you grow them right with huge yields of thick meaty hearty tomatoes that make a meal just by its self. Not the watery flavorless tomatoes most grocery stores sell. By the way that pot you put this monster in is WAYYYY too small. It'll tip over that pot in a month. That's like putting a baby killer whale in a goldfish bowl. It's never gonna work.
