Most products and materials are moved on trucks, for at least part of their journey.

Fuel is about a third of the cost structure for trucks, and stop-start traffic like what currently occurs on South Road uses a massive amount of fuel, in turn costing a lot of money.

The T2D Project is the final piece of the North-South Corridor, and once complete will unlock a 78km free-flowing motorway. Cost savings for freight due to less fuel usage will ultimately mean consumers pay less.

Yes, and time. When is this starting and what is the new approximate time frame?
I was wondering if there were plans for Gepps Cross? It could do with an overpass and underpass to get traffic flowing, it is a major bottleneck on the Main North Road.
