Side by side the Spark sounds better imo, more clarity and not as tinny sounding as the Mooer. Having owned several Mooer modelers I think they're ok for the price, but in the end none have held up very well. But to each his own I suppose.

I’m gonna be honest, you gotta be doing something wrong or not dialling in your settings right if you can’t get the BIAS stuff to sound good. I have Bias FX, Mixwave, Neural DSP etc and they all sound great when you dial them in properly. I’ve found that no matter what preset I try to use, I always have to tinker with the settings to make it sound good with my gear/monitors etc.

I have the Quad Cortex and many Neural DSP plugins. The Spark sounds great. Their software has come a long way since they first release BIAS AMP (I even had their first software on my iPhone 4 back in 2013).

I guess I'm out of the loop of what sounds good. To me, the Spark sounds great. But, honestly I do play through headphones mostly and I think that's the weakest part of the Spark 40 is the speakers. It too boomy, but I solved it by turning the bass knob all the way down, and use the EQ pedal in the app. The mini doesn't seem to have that problem and sounds great through the speaker without any modification.

I have the Spark 2 now, and they made improvements. My complaint would be that the when playing music through it, I wish I could EQ that. But, I guess I can through the phone's EQ.

Idk, Spark may not sound the best, I haven't play all desktops amps, but it has so much going for it, it inspires me to practice everyday since getting it a few years ago.

The demo you gave us didn't do the Mooer any justice. It didn't sound particularly better, but I trust that you think it does. That being said, I already have the Spark, I'm happy with it and have no desire to go with something subjectively better. Great content, though.

First time seeing your channel and I found this video by looking on YT for more Spark mini reviews. I just discovered the Positive Grid brand and the Spark and after watching a ton of YT videos about recommended home amps. I went with the Spark Mini Vai edition along with the Spark Link Wireless system. They are arriving tomorrow and this will be my first amp, so obviously I am amped up and excited. I am an acoustic guitar and Baritone Uke player and all my instruments have Fishman pickups so the Spark Mini should be perfect for my needs.

I love the sparks, but the rollout for the 2 kind of soured me. They dropped a shitload of new stuff too quick, and there’s not enough different to make me keep blowing money. The Mini is the shit though. Exactly what I wanted.

mooer has absolutely great metal sounds they had a free plugin a while back for the iPhone and the metal sounds off the iPhone to headphones or a small speaker was amazing. The spark has the edge to me in rock and clean sounds.. spark app is slick as well… with the looper and jam tracks are a bonus

I don’t get it. Doesn’t seem to do anything particularly better than the Spark, and also doesn’t seem to have the benefit of endless cloud tones and other features the spark has. I’d rather have the spark than this 🤷

I have a spark 2 and it's awesome and if this amp is competitive to the spark we are in for a good future of amp mods and better tones now let's talk about speakers now lol
