Guys, do NOT underestimate the positive effect that you can have on the outcome of your daughter's life. This is even if you're sharing custody. And if you're doing all the right things, encouraging her, validating her, talking TO her and not AT her, showing up at her activities, and you feel like she's taking you for granted...well, that's a good thing, because that's what you want her expectation to be, that boys will treat her just as well as her Dad does. As she gets older, she'll figure out how lucky she is.
