That shaft should have been blocked off. A barricade, a sign, something to provide a visual warning.

I just got to know about this tragedy today. That is absolutely horrifying. RIP to all that lost their lives and to the families that lost their loved ones. 2014 was a horrible year for whole korea.

i'm starting to think that 2014 was a cursed year. The Ferry tragedy, then this accident at the 4minute concert and the Ladies Code car accident where 2 members died. May them rest in peace💔

edit: i didn't expect this to blow up tysm😭✋

Cube definitely buried this story, which is why the majority have never heard about it till now, but the Ladies Code car crash and the ferry incident def helped in getting the concert deaths out of the news cycle faster. Social media wasn’t as prevalent as it was then either, so there wasn’t a lot of eyewitness stuff being shared and going viral in real time either

I've been a kpop fan literally since like 2012 or something and I have absolutely no idea how I didn't know about this at I remember all of the other horrible things that happened in 2014 but just not this? Wow

May those 16 innocent people rest in peace. They didn't deserve to pass like that. I hope the other people affected by this incident are fine and healthy too.

This is so sad :(. To be honest, I think the promoters are to blame. When you organize any event, you always need to make sure there is enough security around and this accident could have been prevented if it was blocked off or for security guards being around in such areas. it's sad this happened :( RIP to those that have lost their lives.

Kids are not going to consider the integrity of an object before standing on it and once people see others doing something, they will figure its okay. That's human nature. There should have been barricades and signs.

Recently, the Most Popular singer named KK in India passed through a heart attack, but his death is very traumatic!
He passed out bcoz of suffocation at the concert! there were supposed to be 5000people to attend the concert but 7000 people attended it! the rush occurs in the venue! They even sprayed some gas that led the suffocating through hell! The saddest part is he sang live for 1hour straight even when suffocating and no one did anything at last when he reached the hospital he died!
Rest in peace to his soul!
Now, who is responsible why do people only think about money rather than doing the right management!!
The same goes with the 4MINUTE concert and other concerts too! WHY THERE IS NO MANAGEMENT!! Why there is less security!
The same case happens at Kpop Flex in 2022! all the fans who come to see their idols performing were suffocating there was no water! get crushed by people! Idols were falling in stages and so on..

I love Concerts but at the same, I'm concerned about these things happening bcoz it's the reality! Who's gonna fix this!!

I'm so sorry for the people who died, they didn't deserve this and I can't imagine how scary it must be...🥺 I just wanna say to 4minute members not to feel guilty cuz it wasn't their fault, it was an accident that was in the past that it's so hard to forget but we have to look in the positive side and not repeat the same thing again! Rest in peace 🕊🕊🕊

I was a huge kpop fan back then, but I have not heard of this incident until now. I think it's because it was overshadowed by the ferry incident. RIP to all who sadly lost their lives.

I remember I was there I was 10 years old and I went with my mom and my older sister. We were over towards the side and didn’t have a good view a bit we only saw the girls sides. When I saw them on the shaft thingy or whatever I was going to go but my mom eventually stopped me. I had to use the bathroom then on my way back that’s when I heard the shaft fall. The music still continued because of the loud music 4minute nor the people upfront heard the screams. But from where my sister was she heard the shaft fall but didn’t pay to much attention. My mom tried to help them get out put some where already dead. RIP to those that will forever hurt me.

2014 was a REALLY bad year, not only the sewol ferry tragedy, the 4min concert, the ladies code accident but also a school shooting that happened in Pakistan

I got into kpop in 2014 so I remember those horrible times... another tragedy that was heartbreaking was the sudden death of RiSe and EunB from Ladies Code. May all of those souls rest in peace ♥
