I was more busy watching you destroy everybody in BO3 instead of thinking about buying the diamond hdmi cable.

Switched my current 18Gbps copper HDMI cables for the consoles over to optical HDMI cables rated at 48Gbps and I couldn't be any happier with the results

Gold plating is a gimmick to start. They are All the same inside. The gold plating is mainly for corrosion protection but when was the last time you saw a silver one corroded. Think about it it’s the pins inside that transmit the digital signal not the outside. But they sell a lot because it’s more money for them. Great video!

I have gold plated HDMI's and they work just fine. Gold is a great conductor so it keeps the HDMI signal clean and uninterrupted.

Upgrading from 2.0 to the new 2.1 made a big difference on my pc in terms of color and clarity so it is worth the upgrade as got one for my xbox x and same thing happened colours just looked better. But before you buy one make sure to look up your TV specs and see if it has a HDMI 2.1 port as it is a new thing so only the newest TVs from late 2019 to 2020 have them and not sure on the cheap brand TVs i am on about top brand names. So look up to see if you have 2.1 as if not will only be running the HDMI at 2.0 speeds and you will see no difference.

Hey just saw your vid on hdmi cables and noticed you mentioned the audio quest diamond cable. That cable is purely meant for audio systems. I’m a system designer for magnolia a/v if you still want information on the cables I can run you through those. Realistically if your wanting the least amount of distortion and video loss you shouldn’t go any hire than a carbon cable. But like I said I can go through those if you still want info on what makes them different.

Isn’t the HDMI rating for the ports (controllers), not the cable? Isn’t the copper runs in every HDMI cable 1.4+ identical? This is not passive-aggressive criticism, I’m genuinely curious. Also, Audioquest tailors to the audiophile community where likely the HDMI cable will be used for an IS^2 connection (Audio Only) instead of a typical Audio and Video. There’s some real world benefits with their cables but it’s mostly a just flex as far as I know.
