True HQ Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 Cable Review

Показать описание
We review the True HQ certified Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cables (2m & 3m lengths) using the HDMI Certification app to verify their authenticity, as well as a Denon X2700H receiver and an LG C9 (with 48Gbps SoC) to test their HDMI 2.1 bandwidth.

*Update 26 April 2021:* True HQ has sent word that the reason the cables are different is because they are different models. There's a gold-braided version, while the certified grey cable is only available in 2-metre length.

Kenable branded 2.1 cables on Amazon UK are fully certified and super cheap.

Edit: But of course buy Vincent's one to support him

it'd be cool if you did a test on the Belkin Ultra High Speed HDMI cables, since they refuse to get certification for their cables, but still advertise it as a "HDMI 2.1" cable.

Hope you can review the Apple TV/ iPhone colour balance soon! We need your in-depth knowledge to push the industry forward to implement easier colour calibration! On my Sony A1 it seems to work well, the image pops more but I have no way of validating that it actually makes the picture more accurate;-)

I actually bought one of these cables in September last year. I was so worried because there wasn't really any certified back then. Zero issues and now a plus that they are certified. Going to buy another one for my PS5 because for some weird reason they ship the PS5 with a cable small than my...

Did you wear that shiny watch and sit in the sun just for the glorious specular highlights?

Thanks for testing...great idea to pick up this topic.
Apart from what you investigated I am convinced 2 mtrs. is no problem with most decent cables ... also 3 mtrs. will probably work with most of these.
Where it starts getting tricky is beyond 3mtrs. ... I recommend being very critical and cautious when buying a 5 mtr. cable or even longer ... make sure you can return it prior to getting one.

Zeskit, Maxonar, Club3D, and Belkin are sellers that you could find on Amazon or a different storefront in Europe. I don't know why Euros always want to pretend that electronics or something else is more difficult to acquire for them. Most of these electronics sellers are international. Interesting enough, TrueHQ cables aren't being sold in America - along with a number of other Euro made products.

I want to see him scan a cable that's not authentic just to see what message you get. "Your cable is trash! Sucks to be you."

Gotta love YouTube stacking unskippable commercials before the good stuff .... Then the entire YT app crashes to the dashboard on the Xbox One X . Guess it can't handle Vincent's awesomeness in 4k HDR !

Only Vincent is making the personal sacrifices like filming in glorious HDR! Never change, man! PS, love those stiff, girthy cables! *DING*

i am just puzzled about HDMI cables, i hooked 3 1.4 HDMI cables to LG C2 OLED TV and one of them works perfectly at 120hz 4k and even higher resolutions. stated as 1.4 cable was like 5$ the other 2 cables are expensive one was like 39$ and the other one a whooping 70$. i just have no idea how this cheap 1.4 cable is able to work like 2.1. i purchased it many years ago. i smell some kind of a scam about HDMI cables that customers are not aware of.

It would be nice to see comparison with cables without certification. How will they behave, are there any noticeable signs of bad cable and so on.
