I like the little intro you did to provide context.

In the 1st Legend movie they replaced the key scene with a filled watercup which to me felt an unnecessary change.
For that reason seeing Takumi throw the cup out the start made me laugh hard. xD

For most recreations i have watched about this one, i find this very different.. in which what i like because it has an original intro, which we dont see in the series, there's also new camera shots, there are many compliments i want but I can't and all i could say this is a masterpiece... You're underrated and deserves more support

In the actual anime lore, Takumi didn't throw the cup and instead used it as a sign if he hit the guard rails. He will return the water cup to Bunta and let him checked if the water is spilled a little or not.
