Between Sonic Mania on everything, Crash on PS4, Odyssey on Switch and now this on PC and Xbone, this really is an incredible year for platforming fans. Plus Hat in Time too.

Platforming levels are great too. Wouldn't put that as a weakness of the game, its a boss rush.

I thought I had seen the Easy Allies review of the Cuphead before, because I felt I recognized several of the sentences in the review. Turns out that it's a gamespot review I've seen before, that point out the same thing in almost the same way. XD

co-op is imo something you should play after you're good at the game or beat it once. people keep hating on the run and gun levels, but imo they're great.

They should make a spinoff series about the Player 2 character fighting bosses in any order he chooses.

Hello :) I want to say that playing bosses on the easier selection does NOT "Completely remove" stages from the boss evolution. Bosses, do, indeed, still evolve. SOME stages are removed, but the wording made it sound like a boss wouldn't evolve at all played on the easier difficulty. What is truly important to note is that the bosses have to be completed on normal difficulty to appease the devil and complete the game.

Maybe it's because I grew up on animation like this...but Cuphead is so fun to watch. I've never played a second of it but I can feel how fun it is.

The reaction to Cuphead by some gaming journalists baffles me, it's fine to say the game is hard and not for them, but why do they need to turn it into a criticism and act like they deserve to see all the content? It's not a movie or a book, games have fail states and it's up to you to get around them. If you are not willing to rise to the challenge then, whatever, but don't try and take that challenge away from us that are. I don't think this game would work as well without its difficulty.

The gameplay is kind of like the old school Contra games, which is also known for its harsh difficulty.

The game seems great, I just wish I could make it past the tutorial.

In all seriousness, I'm having a ton of fun with this, though I've been playing it coop and have encountered the same difficulties Brad described. It's still a fantastic coop game though.

I know they did the group stream of this game, but after watching Brad getting frustrated playing Crash Bandicoot, I would love to see any one of the allies play this game alone

Well, Brad plays better than any reviewer I saw lol, makes it look easy. I know I would struggle with every encounter, which makes me reluctant to pick it up...
