My old Pitt Boss is on its last leg and my wife surprised me for fathers day with the Ninja Wood Fire. Just received it today and had to fire it up. Through some burgers, sausages, and wings on the grill setting.... Good lawd it was good! Meat came out very moist with awesome color. I'm going to test out the other settings but so far so good! She brought the basic model which is fine with me and I just Pit it on the patio table until the stand comes. For my family of four, this cooks enough food and my daughters and wife also loved the inaugural cook in....LOL

Only cons is don't leave the wood burn pot filled up because it takes forever to burn out. Guess it's just a learning curve but other than that I love this little grill.

I have watched alot of videos of this grill, there is 3 things that you can do that people don't know :
1-you can skip the preheat period
2-you can relaunch ignition of the pellets
3-you can have cold smoking by turning the temperature to the minimum

I just bought one yesterday - QVC had it on sale for $299 US dollars, including a cover and free shipping. Can't wait to try it out!

Thanks for the review. Charcoal is difficult and propane grills are forbidden where I live. I recently purchased one of these little guys and am so far pleased with how it's worked. The smokiness it imparts is real, though I've refilled and re-ignited the pellet basket a couple times when it runs for hours.

I enjoy your reviews. You commented on the temperature probe not being accurate. I have both the Ninja Smart XL grill and the Woodfire pro grill. I have noticed that the probe is accurate on proteins that are very lean like beef filet, chicken, burgers. When I cook a steak like a ribeye that has areas of fat, the probe is inaccurate if it touches a fat area. I think the fat gets hotter faster and provides the incorrect meat temperature.

You can tell that you didn't read the manual. Which tells you how long it will preheat and when to add the meat. This was a poor review due to user error.

I’m still learning to use my ninja wood fire grill. It could be a learning curve thing, but my chicken wings only tasted so-so. The wings looked like your chicken wings did. But I was disappointed that the wings didn’t have as much smoke flavor as I like. The pellets created a ton of smoke from the grill way before the add food function came on. Next I tried burgers without the smoke and again it was only so so. I brought this thing because I love grilled and smoked foods especially wings. And I have other ninja products that I’ve been happy with. The ninja wood fire is compact I have a very small yard. Its great for a family of one and very easy to use. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed for more satisfaction as I try different recipes on this grill.

I love mine ! It is easy and it is very versatile as opposed to a regular bbq.

I saw 1 of these for the 1st time at Sam's club today, for $250 USD. I live in a condo, so after seeing this video, I'm thinking of picking 1 up. Thanks so much for this honest review!

We just ordered one and i cant wait for it to come in. we live in an apartment and are limited to what we can cook outside, propane and charcoal aren't allowed but an electric grill is. lol what a great loop hole. also we want all the other features it helps eliminate other appliance usage. were going camping in a few weekends with a electrical outlet site and im opting to take this and leave the griddle at home. im also bringing my charcoal grill to do some testing and seeing what taste better and easier / quicker just for fun.

Perhaps the air fried wings look funny because you had the smoker section going?

As for the temperature on the chicken, it shut off. Until you get food at 165. But it took you a few seconds to pull it off. And put it on the plate and move it over to Where you measure the temperature at 170 degrees. Which would be in line to the increase during resting of 5 to 10 degrees

As a professional chef I can tell you what your biggest issue is. When using the probe set your temperature for 5 to 10° under what you're actually aiming for cuz you're not compensating for carryover cooking once you remove the meat.

Have to use pre heat to get best results. Schoolboy error to put steak on if not at right temp- just as with regular BBQ.
Love ours, so quick and easy to cook and clean

Enjoyed the review. On the fence between something convenient like this and just a small pellet smoker. I finally understand the basics of cooking meat and I think I’m just going to go head first into a pellet smoker.

Yeah, I never use the temp probes that come with appliances, to me it seems that they just throw them on for a selling point. Thanks for the honest review, you guys always seem to be the best and most thorough. Have you or are you going to soon review the Ninja Sizzle Smokeless Indoor Grill & Griddle? I'm wanting the best indoor grill that I can get to seer proteins for when I can't use my outdoor grill. Thanks.

Speaking of steak i like to cold age my steaks in my freezer for couple of months using foodsaver. When you vacumm seal meat it opens the pours letting marinated soak in same with cold. I put tsp of liquid smoke in bag along with steak then vacumm and let sit in freezer few montha really makes for richer taste while no freezer burn. You let defrost in fridge then remove from bag and let sit hour in air.
