The last case is truly heartbreaking poor kids to watch their father mowed down like that seconds after such a heroic act Casey does sound like that he was a top guy and a great father to his kids truly sad what happened to him

A few, , a friend of mine had a 9 yr old boy run into his truck, while he was driving home. He was 19 at the time. It took 4 years before he drove again. He's never gotten over it. I got him to go to meetings with a group of accident death survivors. They are run by a wonderful psychologist. He is doing much better since he started going

The submerged bedroom drowning seems odd at first as it's only about 2m deep. But I guess the fact that the rest of the structure overhangs means that you can easily knock yourself out as you attempt to surface. Dangerous and sad....

I remember the Darren Mitchell story. That poor kid. It's hard for people who drive every day over dry creek beds and arroyos to ever imagine how fast they can fill up and the incredible force of the water, especially in a drought where it seems like it'll never rain again. Every year we lose a few people here who die in their vehicles in flash floods. RIP
