How to install Koda Slim 15 inch LED Ceiling Light from Costco

I had an old light fixture that I wanted to get rid of, so grabbed one of Koda Slim 15" LED Ceiling Lights from Costco.

This video shows unboxing of the product, how to remove an old light fixture and install a new light.

If you decide to do this yourself, work safe and MAKE SURE by turning off the power from circuit breaker.

Note: Please make sure you check the electrical code in your area before you do anything, and make sure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker whenever you work with electricity. Work safe.

I tried to install mine just now, but I didn't see a ground wire, so I aborted and decided to wait and understand the issue more and maybe hire help. I did notice one thing... the old lighting metal housing that is recessed into the ceiling has the black wire going into it and coming out again. Is this for grounding?
