I love that "and don't apologize" line, it shows that God just wants to be treated like a normal person without all the praise, worship, and wanting his forgiveness to the point where its made him into a grumpy guy that would be feared regardless.

30 years later, and I still remember every word from this scene. I had to have watched this movie like 100 times growing up, and it's still my favorite Monty Python movie next to Life of Brian. My stepsister and I even did the entire witch scene at our high school talent show back in the 90s. We had the teachers and most of the kids rolling.

I saw this movie for the first time when I was maybe 6 but was raised extremely catholic and 28 years later this is still how I think God looks, sounds, speaks, and acts: a grumpy old animated man admonishing me through a hole in the sky.
