Dell EMC PowerEdge R740 Unboxing/Overview

RAM is already on the way, but probably wont make you all watch that again.

This (in theory) should be my only host for a while, I plan on doing dual 20 Core Platinum's eventually, but the 10 core is just fine for right now.

This machine will be very helpful with me trying to move away from multiple physical hosts, and virtualize them, as well as getting into HCI and SDN.

Yes, you could have gone with a 13th gen (R730), hell even at 12th gen probably could do the job, but this is the best option looking into the future with a really fast hybrid HBA/RAID controller(I plan on multiple SSD arrays) and lots of options for CPU's.
