Did Yui try running away from her problems by merging with the Eva unit? Her endgame was to survive everyone, even her son, and t-pose in space for eternity for aliens to admire, all just to duck Seele assassins.


JK, I know she did it out of love for her son and to protect him, but her execution came off hopelessly suspect, except for the proof for humanity existed bit, that was mad egomaniacal.
