A great example of this is D book when he fades the ball is way above his head and elbows way out and when its a set shot its at his head

I think perfect form is usually what you want for catch and shoot shots, but off the dribble you often need to adjust your form since it's very unlikely you're going to be perfectly balanced.

Shooting really starts from the feet up. You pretty much need to adjust what your hands/arms do based on what your feet/legs did.

The only thing exposed is you. Your shot should look the same every shot. If you have to adjust due to defender contesting your shot that's a different story. The best shooters shots look the same and you replicate that to get best results. Smh

There will be some slight difference but what makes the best scorers so good is that they can get 90% of their form right every time off the dribble, and they certainly get their balance right.
