Question: I have GNS3 installed an running on Windows with the GNS3 VM. What I don't understand is the local server verses the VM. It shows both are running. When I go into Edit...Preferences...Local Server and turn it off - it seems to also detach from the GNS3 VM and also removes all the GNS3 VM settings and everything breaks. But by leaving it with both - it seems I am both running the local server AND GNS3 VM which seems like an unnecessary waste of resources. What am I doing wrong? Should I be able to turn off the local server and only have the GNS3 VM running as the server to make this work? Thanks!

Hi David,
I run a native/local linux Os on my computer and so for complex topologies, would you still require/recommend a GNS3 VM?
