A blast from the past, The Velleman Vertex Nano. A machine I reviewed 6 years ago and decided to keep, mainly because it was cute and doesn't take up space

I'd love to see you restore it! I wish there were more tiny printers in the market, they're awesome for small projects or just tinkering.

Get it running. Install a BIQU microprobe for a 81 point bed mesh.

Consider restoring it if you haven’t already, this thing belongs in a museum at this point

I've got a couple small 3D Printers. First one I bought Dobot Mooz 2, 5in cubed print volume. But it prints shockingly great. Bought a relic, Cubify. Doesn't have a heated bed, bought it as a curiosity as it was a $1300 printer and I grabbed it for $40. It does print, limited to PLA but it prints sort of average. Print volume 6in cubed. Also grabbed a Creality CR-100 just to see it as a curiosity. No heated bed 4.25 cubed volume. Actually prints better than average. My best printer, Lulzbot TAZ 6. Second best Snapmaker 2.0 A350T but the Lulzbot is better, plus I built a 1.2mm toolhead for quick prototyping and then I put on the .5mm for finer detail. Also have a Sindoh DP200, enclosed printer for ABS. Not a bad printer, pretty good but the TAZ is the best. Best of my collection of machines.

And ther m3d cube could be even smaller, I never had the velleman one, but the m3d nearly fits in the palm of my hand.

Let's get it back in service! No printer should be left behind!

(also, let's get rid of that old Marlin firmware and throw Klipper on there...)

Clean it and put klipper on it and make it speed print

I have this one too. I built a case from some light wood and a plexiglass panel and sometimes i take it with me to conferences. Its a great conversation starter and mine was insanely reliable, once i figured out a good bed configuration. Its just too small to wobble or have any flex in any of the axes :D

This thing is adorable! Pimp it out into a speedbenchy demon!! Klipper, 48V LDOs, Magnum+, the works!

I think the almost surprising thing is that he still has the power cord after so many years

Yes clean it up and print on it. Maybe even upgrade board/firmware install klipper possibly and make it print really fast!
