it always floods in middle of night i don't know why maybe tides but where i am too it starts rising around 3am or so timing, but it never went up to the floor and flooded ..my new place is x flood zone but it was always 2: 30 3am old place

i paint all my wall studs, use two layers of 2" foamboard and the wall sheathing is 1/2" cementboard with acrylic cement, i think each layer can go exterior is why it'd probably just dry out if wet ever] fiberglass and drywall can only get wet once and it's done so the extra cost is negligeable to me and it's a much better wall, i use simpsons thick metal pieces added on each stud or i make similar and paint them, that wall too would be better than ever this way but i have to add 1/2" shims i cut and paint so the 4" foam fits the 3.5" 2x4s ace has a deal on1 1/2" x 1/4" screws in 75count for about $20 [the 2x4 is 1 5/8th so when i have two studs in spots i use 3" screws x 1/4"] ..looks like he has borate treated studs, very good but some pesticides say not to use with boric acid so it's variable ( for me) ...( i used to toss some 20 mules borax detergent along the sillplates ]

edit: this part is silly but i add aluminum foil covering the back of each 3x5 cementboard, it's cheap and thermal mass on the inside and the foamboard won't breathe so ventilation is differnt anyway[...
