The Gawain Poet looks absolutely magnificent! I can't count the the times I have read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and to have it in that collection would indeed be a treasure.

Wow, this is a Penguin Classic that I need to read. Gawain and the Green Knight is a masterpiece, and I’ve never been able to read it in the original Middle English. I will be looking for/ordering a copy once things clear. Amazing and thank you for sharing, Steve!

I just read Simon Armitage's translation of Sir G and the Green Knight. I expect you would pull it apart but I thought as a poet he made it work as poetry rather than purely a translation. It would be fun to have a go at some of the original. .
