There’s definitely some ups and downs with this update, but the ups are definitely huge, including krok graphics update and free wiz city/krok

Regarding the bazaar changes, this is the biggest mistake they could make. It’s like they want to kill off the most dedicated and veteran players who are entirely responsible for why this game has lasted so long.

So the new feature is half-baked and underwhelming? Called it.
Just like Fishing, Cantrips, Pet Training, ect.

Happy Birthday. I hope you get quality time with your lady Val. The Bazaar change with empowers, snacks etc has nuked any positive changes.

the black market has been a pivotal part of the wiz community from getting certain items in games, pets, getting help with questing, etc. some ppl like myself only did gardening to get empowers to use in the black market

The empower black market change needs to be reversed ASAP or the community will be outraged at this STUPID AF change. It does way more good than harm especially to f2p players with bundles, memberships, etc. Also, besides PvP, it also helps the PvE playerbase which is EVERYONE since lowering the value of empowers hurts every player not just certain groups. I can’t tell you how many times my empower tc hoard pile saved me from farming half-fang, etc to quickly access like 150k gold just to do a single pet hatch! Other times it’s saved me when I need to buy mass tc for Deckathalon. Other times, it’s been awesome to trade empowers for rare tc whether it’s like azoth for guild related activities (crafting/raiding/pvp tc) or collectibles like Elucidate/Sinplify/etc or some other tc for crafting purposes like shadow enhanced spells for lore tc for crafting gear or spells. Since people know empower tc is valuable gold wise, the trade between empower tc and gold is also an exchange of time/money. By trading you 200 empowers which took me a lot of time to acquire via farming bosses & mass buying in bazaar or via max elder harvest gardening which requires days to achieve, I’m essentially trading you my time (in the form of acquired empower tcs) for your money (in the form of your paid bundles/membership codes, etc) or for your rarities (collectible tc, extremely difficult to obtain tc needed for crafting spells/gear but are still circulating in game, etc). It’s SO much more than just tc trading/selling. So if this change goes through, the black market will never die and they’ll just switch over to the next highest selling tc (as a fuck you KI) which will be likely less easily stockpiled but just as valuable if not more than empower. Empower tc is just convenient due to numerous ways to obtain it but ClownsIsle can never kill the idea of us black market users who need it and who’ve benefitted from it countless times. They’re just making our damn job harder which is NOT OKAY!

I feel like "you cant train school fusion spells of your own school" is definitely an unfortunate thing and it would be cool for KI to add way more mono fusion spells...
BUT, how would a storm learn forest lord or fire dragon for example? All school spells after Dragonspyre are tied to school specific quests, meaning if KI were to allow say, storm dipping into storm fusions, you could only learn 4/6 fusions with what spells you have access to.
Its unfortunate for those who love feeling powerful in their own school with tons of spells, but I always hear people saying that there isn't enough school identity, and changing how fusions work would only make this issue worse by allowing for schools being able to either learn later-game spells of other schools or making spell fusion not school exclusive.

Some of the spell fusions are definitely lackluster, I started a new wizard because all the myth weaving looked bad.

As for the empower black market- they have to make the change. Selling or trading items outside of the game is against TOS and a bannable offense because people can get scammed.

I’d rather have worthless empowers (still a good spell to have) than see a bunch of veteran accounts get permabanned for 3rd party trading, and I think KI would agree.

My issue with spell fusion is that we have to combine resources to create something that is lackluster or from what I see not as good as the cards that are being combined. You’re cramming your deck and hoping you’ll get resources to fusion summon. A better way would be if you learn both spells then you can learn the fusion spell and use it without having to add both parts of the card within the deck.

The whole point of selenopolis is to push dual school no? Wouldn’t adding a path b to these spells to allow mono-schooling completely undermine what the devs are trying to accomplish?

I agree with you that some of these spells are underwhelming especially considering that you need to have two specific spells in your hand to create this. The deck cramming and rng is going to skyrocket if the devs really want us to use this feature. They need to figure out a way to reconcile spell fusion with the already limited deck space we currently have.

Honestly if they do away with the Empowers many new players will now suffer.. Schools like death and life need to craft their low pip aoe as soon as they can just because how useful they are. Now it will be harder for the lower wizards to do that due to needing those craft TC’s. Debatable that even the reagents to an extent can be easier to farm than farming TC’s. Either way empowers would help those people get the reagents as well. It will be a domino effect for everyone eventually

Seeing the essentially unanimous response that the community is having, and the consistent concern and attitude of the biggest wiztubers, I can't see them not addressing this and fixing it before the update goes live.
It would be horrible news for the player-base. Imagine a new player trying to start and afford mounts, hatching, potion flasks etc. Next to impossible!

they should have just expanded on the sun school transmutate spells, same concept and everyone can learn them

Quality commentary, I'm with a lot of the stances you took. Also happy early birthday, take it easy that day.

Evil magma is a lite one for ice esp since ice has been shafted time and time again for years but like others said whats the point of doing the new quest if your already max level and dont get anything worthwhile for doing it. And spell weaving we knew was gonna underwhelmed they did some of the schools down bad suprise suprise ki doesnt listen to the community. As far as the empower crash yea its scuffed but people gonna find the next highest selling tcs the black market still gonna exist nothing ki can do about it

school identity is ruined, picking a school used to mean something. killing the black market in wiz is anti-player anti-consumer & overwhelming hurts the community.

I’m like 70% happy with this update and 30% disappointed, one of my main complaints is, as you said early on in the video the fact I’m a storm wizard but can’t actually learn the storm spells.. it doesn’t make sense what’s the point of me picking storm if I can’t even use the spells. The level cap not rising is a bit like well where’s the incentive of me actually doing the new expansion if I’m not even going to be rewarded for it. Other than that I’m happy with the update

Justsomeguy

Ok but substantially raise the gold cap, give us a few decent ways to farm it, and make pure gold tradeable?? Like pls tell me these devs have an education and know that a market must exist somehow
