i have a question, why do they avoid tests comparing vaccinated people with people whos never been vaccinated? if your so confident with these vaccines why avoid these requests? with all the risks ive seen from vaccines, forcing someone to shoot unknown viruses and chemicals into your bloodstream is against human rights especially when your healthy and dont need one.

Dear Helen,

At 16:16 you ask "why are so many people concerned about the safety of a future COVID-19 vaccine?". (You suggest that "perhaps we're not helping people to understand [...]"). While I can't answer this question in general, for me personally it is quite simple:

The fact is that the proposed vaccines are based on a new technology platform: mRNA. Let me quote Wikipedia:

"Up until December 2020, no mRNA vaccine, drug, or technology platform, had ever been approved for use in humans, and before 2020, mRNA was only considered a theoretical or experimental candidate for use in humans."

This seems very risky to me.

So I searched for an explanation on why it's considered safe (or sane) that we're now about to inject a large proportion of the world population with a new technology that has only been tested for a couple of months (so it seems to me we can't know anything about long term effects), and I came across this video.

Unfortunately, nowhere in your talk to you even *acknowledge* that this is a new and basically untested TYPE of vaccine. Instead, you mock fringe conspiracy theories and suggest that the problem is people's lack of understanding the facts (which IMHO comes across as quite arrogant).

I for one am not reassured at all.
