Here's a tutorial for a natural shower gel recipe that’s moisturizing and thick like a store-bought gel! You need only Castile Soap, honey, oils, essential oils, salt and water.

The Recipe:
🌿 3 tsp. fine salt (Kosher salt will not work with this recipe, it must be a fine salt!)
🌿 1/4 cup very hot to boiling water

This is the thickest body wash recipe I've tried. Thanks. It actually works!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I just combined this method with a recipe I found for creamy body wash (incorporating shea butter and a fast absorbing oil) and it came out so rich and exactly the texture I’ve been hoping to duplicate!

So happy I found this. I've been wanting to try more natural products but so many of the recipes for body wash and other products I find have added ingredients that are not natural. It does seem a little strange to use honey on my body but I have long been a promoter of honey to anyone who would listen so I am willing to try.

Your natural recipe is the only recipe I found that has a really nice thick body wash consistency that I like and that Baby EO sounds amazing. Thank you. By the way, you look 30 years old! You look great. It’s what natural products do. 😊

Careful with ylang ylang! It DOES cause headaches in some people. So, if you start getting headaches after using it, stop and use a different floral! That said, it’s also excellent for hormone balance and as an aphrodisiac… a very strong one!

You made this the other day and it came out extremely thick actually it was too thick to use. So I just experimented add extra Castile soap and vegetable glycerin then use my whipping blade to whip some air into it I loved the way it came out.

Thank you for sharing. I love simple, limited ingredient recipes. I almost always use honey in my body washes. I love it! It has helped my skin tremendously. Depending on if it's winter or summer I use coconut oil and fractionated coconut oil, as well.

My water was boiling then used fine salt you recommended and it still didn’t dissolve and didn’t thicken. I still love.

I just finished a diy body gel I made using a different recipe. It was nice, but I’m looking for a different scent and more lather. I can’t wait to try this one!

Thank you for sharing mine did not work with table salt it would not dissolve it boiling hot water, which I thought was very weird. So I tried sea salt which worked much better. It started clumping after adding the Castile soap, so I used mixer. It was a little more watery than I thought but soaped up really well in the shower.
