I FORGOT THIS! Im always looking to make my compressors less obvious and concrete. I usually use the mix % knob, and rarely use fast release times as my compressors are normally side chains in my music.

Will definitely apply this a lot more!

Great advice! These days I only use compression for adding punch to a kick or levelling out a vocal.. everything else gets clipped ✂️
