Lyrics:

I’m staring at the wall, ‘cause the only news is bad news.
I’m waiting to fall—I’m the rain cloud in your living room.
I keep making lists of shit to tell my therapist—
the reasons I wish I didn’t exist.

I’m sinking fast. I’m taking everyone down with me.
Alone at last somewhere in South Jersey.
My breath fogs up my glasses. Smoke hangs heavy in the wind.
I’m reading up on black holes, hoping one might take me in.

I’m growing out my hair, ‘cause who gives a shit.
I’m growing out my hair, ‘cause who gives a shit.
It’s looking hopeless, and I’m feeling desperate.
I’m growing out my hair, ‘cause who gives a shit.

I’m staring at the dust that’s gathered on the fake plants.
I’ve given up; I can’t keep the real thing living.
I watch the bluish glow of my shadow paint the far wall
in the middle of the night, up watching Korean Baseball.

It’s low tide
at serotonin bay,
and for the first time,
I’m not sure that everything’ll be ok.

I’m exploding on re-entry,
scattered wreckage in the sea.
Everything’s been gray forever—
it’s how it’s always gonna be.

I’ve never been more sure of something;
I see it clearly in my dreams.
I know I’m gonna be the one,
the one who ruins everything.

The "everythings been grey forever" lyric as they pan the grey pupon Commercial. Cinematic gold

"In the middle of the night, up watching Korean baseball" when you're really so empty in the midnight time and desperately looking for something to cheer you up so you watch any kind of shows to find some entertaintment.

TWY are better than ever! I was in highschool in the same town where they started and would see them live all the time before they got big. I'm so happy they're still releasing amazing music!

Alright I've been the resident metalhead since forever. Mostly deathcore and shit. but on my quest to find punk, i found this band. And it's been my favorite band ever since. Every song, every ounce of the wonder years, i can't get enough

You know it's a good day when TWY are releasing a new song

this is such a modern TWY song and yet (to me) has such strong mid-'00s vibes (in a good way) in the main riff and the solo-ish riff over the bridge

also, in classic soupy form, just tons of callbacks through these four songs so far: madelyn, steadier footing, ruins everything, etc. (edit: and wyatt's song --> passing through a screen door, of course)

Every new album a band almost always says, "this is the best stuff we've ever written." The Wonder Years may actually be correct. Every song I've heard so far is incredible.

Dear God. This song gave me the same chills I had the first time I heard Cardinals. It is so freaking awesome. Been listening to it over and over for the past 20 minutes. Damn it’s so good.
