Показать описание
Jeffery Swanson, a 68-year-old African-American male, came into the emergency department with a blood pressure of 176/82. His respiratory rate is 20 bpm, with a temperature of 99.4 degrees Fahrenheit and an O2 saturation of 92%. Upon initial assessment, Jefferey looked calm but apprehensive; he also had a minor headache with a pain level of 3/10. His speech sounded garbled and slow but was comprehensive when questioned about his date of birth. Further assessment also revealed that his pupils were equal and reactive to light and that he presented with right-sided facial paralysis. While he can follow instructions and raise his extremities, Jefferey cannot move his right arm and leg, nor can he feel them.
