I don't know if this will ever reach Chayce, but i need to share with you that this song has spoken to my son. He has struggled with drinking for sometime now and he's only 24.He came home telling me about hearing this song on his way home from work, and was ready to stop to get beer but instead he said this song came on and spoke volumes to him! I'm just now discovering this dude that won American Idol when I didn't even watch the show. This guys sound reminds me of like...Kurt Cobain meets Chris Stapleton, with a little bit of Kid Rock sprinkled on top! I can see why he won, just from seeing a couple of videos, because as I said, i didn't watch the show. Those 2 girls in the top 4 Casey, and Grace, were also phenomenal and knocked my socks off! I did also see Alyssa Wray's audition early on, and she blew me away as well! They had a lot of great talent this season... I should've watched the show entirely! It's too bad all these awesome singers had to all be in the same season though! I'll bet it was a tough vote decision for people this season with all that incredible talent! If each of these other contenders could've each been in different seasons they all could've won a season individually!

I just got shown this song today. I turned 24 this month and before hand I had a bad drinking problem since I was 13, almost died multiple times and tried to kill myself with the liquor. Just recently month ago I decided to go fully clean on everything cold turkey. Just woke up and processed a lot of shit in my head and talked to God, asking "what do I do?" So I poured out all the alcohol in the house, even my stuff for cigarettes and weed. Just have it all up. Now I drink NA and I don't get tempted for anything, I can even go into a bar and not be tempted. I feel no stress, no hatred, I feel free and relaxed mind/body. I gave up all the vices and it's the best decision of my life. Especially after this song I know that there is a reason for me to be on this earth. And now I know my mom was right too, I will be someone one day. Thankyou for the song "Chayce" you helped me fully understand my existence and helped me see there was a better reason to be sober for the rest of my life. Whoever is dealing with similar problems, you will make it and be better for it. Hold your heads high "KINGS AND QUEENS"
