Although it Took me till 25 to get sober I feel this song. I was hammering bottles of Jameson down and drinking beer like water and slamming down anything anyone put in front of me. I was carrying pain for so long. Got to the point where I was puking up blood and couldn't go a day without going through a thing of tums and Pepto. I also realized how close I came to getting a DUI many times and got lucky I didn't hurt nobody or myself. I'm lucky I didn't kill no one August 8 2021 I had my last beer haven't looked back since. My life is slowly but surely getting better and I'm born again Christian. Just gotta get off cigarettes now. There is hope out there for anyone suffering from addiction it's never too late to get clean.

I decided to listen to this song because I have friends who still watch American Idol and have endorsed this guy and this song, and also because I love country music. Great song, and I could hear it on country radio right now.

I'd never watched American Idol, until I flipped the TV and heard Chayce's back story, then sing on AI for the 1st was sold and didn't miss an episode. He got ALL my votes (text, email and had friends texting to vote for him. After all he was the BEST & MOST deserving).
I'm not a big country music fan, but this song rocked me straight to my core. Chayce showed the world you can overcome ANY demons, while staying humble and reach your dreams. @ChayceBeckham is a true shining 🌟

I have a friend who’s exactly like this who’s 22. It’s gotten to the point I’ve literally done everything I can think of to help him, nothing works. I’ve since stopped talking to him, I got tired of babysitting him, and even though we had a falling out, I hope he gets his life together someday. I talk to his brother occasionally, and so far that hasn’t happened. One of many reasons I don’t drink, period. I don’t want to even take a chance that it becomes a problem.
