Top 5 Most Underrated Dive Watches - Federico Talks Watches

In today's episode of Federico Talks Watches I talk about what I think are some of the most underrated dive watches on the market today. Dive watches that are under appreciated and that are great value propositions. Watches such as the Rolex Seadweller, one of the most underrated Rolex watches out there. The IWC Aquatimer 2000, the Girard Perregaux sea hawk and many many more. These dive watches are fantastic and deserve more love!

And still after explaining within the first few seconds of this video, that you have had to narrow it down to just 5 watches and that it is your opinion, you still get the same stupid comments " why no invictor?" "Fed no Doxa" "where are Sinn?" . i honestly dont know how you have the patience to put these videos together . Great video as always Fed.

Good review. I like the looks of that Girrard Seahawk. On the lower end I think Glycine Combat Sub is underrated. It’s thin, wears well and seems durable. I work on a military airfield and I like the fact that has 24 hour time on the dial.

How about Eterna Super Kontiki? Great movement history as well as the Thor Heyerdahl connection

Great content Fredericko. What do you think of Christoper ward diver with COSC in-house movement. Would like to see a video addressing that. Cheers

Great to have you back from the Apple Fed. Some nice picks there, one of my personal favourites is the Perrelet Seacraft in the blue. Gorgeous in my opinion and different, any good? Are Perrelet any good never heard you mention them buddy. Not forgetting Squale of course too.

Girard Perregaux Sea Hawk (the first version) and Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver

Great list.. I'm intrigued by that Gerard-Perregeau, talk about under the radar, I never knew they existed and now I want one.

The Tudor Pelagos should be on this list. It’s always overshadowed by the Rolex Subs. Bang for the buck, it’s hands down one of the best ones out there. 500 meter water resistance, helium escape valve, titanium case and bracelet with rubber strap, ceramic bezel, in-house movement with a COSC certification, def is a heavy hitter in the dive watch category.

not sure when GO came out with it's glide lock clasp but Seiko MarineMaster had a ratcheting dive extension for nearly 20 years. same concept, slightly different execution. and unlike, say the Rolex sub version, Seiko's version you can activate while it's on your wrist. no need to take your watch off. it activates just buy pushing your safety lock a little further back. Anyway, nice list. some very interesting pieces I've never seen. enjoyed the vid.

You called the glashutte diver fugly, but i think it looks better than the girard perregaux and the chopard

Agree with Glashutte. Not the best design from this house but underrated company no doubt. Also love the Nardin dive watches. Durable, great design and solid history.

Wi guess I am weird. I have long lusted after an IWC Aquatimer. I had no idea others didn’t love it as much as I do. Keep up the great content!

Oris Prodiver Pointer Moon - multiple complications, 1000M with escape valve (competes with Sea Dweller), many accessories, and reliable ETA movement. Was designed with team of pro divers. Can be had for around $2K USD.

I would add the Breitling Superocean Heritage 42mm. Not the ceramic II but the discontinued one. Solid ETA Chronometer grade, very thin and good looking. Also can be had very cheap too.
