86 is so good. It is probably my favorite military mecha anime. There are a few things that get wrong and could do better on, but the characters 10/10. The story 10/10. The feels 10/10.
Also, the portrayal of emotional trauma from war, ptsd, survivors guilt, and shell shock, but also only knowing war. When they reach Giad, they no longer need to fight but war and battle is all they know and all they think they are good for.
This anime does so many thing right that I can forgive some of the minor details that don't make sense. It reminds me a lot of Violet Evergarden which made me cry so much.
Really praying for a season 2. And long live the mother effin spearhead squadron.

Ousama ranking is criminally underrated becoz of its art which seems to be childish but plot, story is so amazing and emotional. And not to say the voice of every character sends EARGASM which suits all characters.

In my opinion, I’d say World Trigger is pretty underrated. I don’t see much people talk about it, and it’s a shame. The world building is very interesting, and the rank wars are very fun to watch! Although I’m only on the 1 season, so I’d suggest watching the anime yourself!
