I was kicked out of Sunday school for the under 12 youth for asking the teacher why would almighty god create billions of people to either worship him for eternity or burn for eternity for not worshipping him.

The gnostic version of the creation story makes way more sense than what we have been taught from the Bible. And it certainly explains why certain books were left out or banned from the Bible. Christianity was forced on humanity. Also why we see similar pagan stories throughout.

When I was a child, I always think that I don't want to be born. For me, this world is boring. We will be born, our parents take care of us then we will go to school to be indoctrinated and brainwashed. After we finished school we find a job. Some choose to marry and have children. I asked my mom what's the purpose of human existence? She said "the purpose of our existence is to serve god." I asked her why god demands worship and why are we not seeing him now like the stories in the bible where they see him and talked to him directly? My mom said "we don't have the right to question god because we are just his creation and we have to follow his rules." I felt that there's something wrong with it. It's as if this god got bored so he created humans to toy with us. This world is like a simulation game where god is the game master.

Then when I got old, I'm 42 now, I saw a comment in a Christian page and I became curious because he said that Yahweh is the devil and he can prove it. Many Christians got angry at him but I'm not. Instead, I messaged him and asked him to explain to me why Yahweh is the devil. He introduced himself, he's an EX pastor. He showed me the bible verses that proves Yahweh's evilness and the verse where Jesus said that he is the devil (John 8:44). Then he sent me the links of Marcionites and Gnosticism.

After this discovery I found out that many pastors are awakening and discovering Gnosticism. There is a pastor who's famous in Philippine Christian community, he preach the gospel in a marcionite and gnostic view and he got persecuted. Many priest, pastors and Christians call him "false prophet" or "wolf in sheep's clothing." I thought these Christians are either ignorant or hypocrites. The proof of Yahweh's evilness is very clear in the bible and there are many verses where Jesus give hints that Yahweh is not his Father.

The Gnostic message of salvation was different from the mainstream or contemporary beliefs.
There, the snake which was placed wasn't a deceptive, rather a being sended to awakening humanity and helped to bring back to the true source.
This was truly frightened the false god who was the evil creator of a false world.

Soooo Yoldobath presumes he’s the only god? But then has to stop Adam and Eve from discovering the higher god/gods? And Yoldonath also calls on higher god/gods to provide “the spark of life” to Adam… so Yoldobath DID know there were higher god/gods? I could go on. Not an entirely coherent story line here.

Enjoyed this quite a bit. This story, like the creation story in the Bible, has an inexplicable plotline. Great and powerful beings making things way harder and time consuming than they need to be. When i was young I learned, like most of us, that the fruit of the tree of life, just like its name, gave life. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil gave duality. (No light w/o dark, warmth w/o cold etc). All the stories have that. Each story has powerful beings going to great lengths to affect us. Guide us, punish or reward us, whatever. No story tells us why. We are at the center of the stories as though we are a very valuable asset. For whom? It seems like they were doing fine before we got here and will do fine when we're gone. What would they need with us? And if there is something they want, why wouldn't they just tell us, without all the mystery, symbols etc. that seem concocted for the sole purpose of confusing us? Are we a puzzle? Items on a "scavenger hunt" list? I feel like if they're out there, they'd have better things to do.

That tree of knowledge of good and evil, who planted it there, was it Yuldabath? If he planted it there, then he set a trap for Adam and eve so that he could cast the out of Eden and curse them with suffering. If he didn't want them to eat it then, he would not have planted it, coz why did he plant it there, if he didn't want them to eat it's fruits?

So, the serpent is a symbol of a messenger of Sophia, and yuldebath has the head of a serpent. What does that indicate? And why would he kick Adam out of the one place he held dominion. There's as many contradictions as the Bible. I'd say these are all stories to teach lessons the writer felt important.
