They say that if a large enough amount of people, guess at the number of jellybeans in a jar, or the weight of a cow, the average tends to come close to the actual number. Individual guesses may vary widely, but in aggregate, they smooth out. I wonder, if you ran this prediction 100 times then took the average, if you might move closer to the actual number?

Good video cheers. Predicting the actual opening price is an extremely difficult task if not impossible. Plus its actually irrelevant as all you need to know is the likely direction. So for example you take the futures price from an hourly chart say 4 hours before open and using your model predict whether it will go up or down from there. Enter the trade in that direction.

You didn’t ask it how certain it was about the prediction. I wonder if predicting trend or direction instead of exact price, may be easier to predict. Will the price trend up or trend downward and how certain is it about the prediction? Perhaps it can it can also predict a velocity, like how strong the price will trend. Also do a postmortem, ask it to discuss why it thought it missed the prediction.
Tomorrow when you run it, give it the information about today’s prediction, to help it make a better prediction.

I guess if you were to feed it with continuous data on the price over time, it would be more accurate? Or utilize agents to fetch and analyze 24/7?

Great idea with zip files. The automatic trading, inside knowledge and relationships of those with access to the real time data make me leery of investing sometimes. The access to AI and real time data may help us regular people. I found Portfoliometa plug in, maybe fun to try some small time investing with a little AI help.
