My jaw is literally glued to the floor, the amount of emotion in her voice, dang it’s so inspirational and makes me just love musical theatre even more than i normally do

I saw the Notebook yesterday. Joy was part of the cast... Her voice was one with the orchestra! OMG...What a great show!

It's a crime against the world that was snubbed from a Tony my lord! One of the best voices ever with such control and emotional depth and range!

If this isn’t Tiana, I don’t know who is.

Amazing song, outstanding vocals/acting, and probably the catchiest showtune since “Waving Through a Window”!

I'm crying because of the way she is telling the story. She is the true essence of Broadway🧡

There are no words to describe her voice. She is a master of her craft. The emotion and passion that exudes out of Joy Woods is breathtaking. My husband and I saw the play last week and our jaws dropped when she performed this song. When she is on stage she feels every emotion and so does the audience. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 The Tony is coming for sure!!

“I can feel something growin’. It’s small but it’s shiftin’ the ground…when I was younger I could hear it; but it’s BACK, it’s MY SOUND!” THAT PART! 🔥 I feel like I just went to church and raised a hallelujah! ❤cuz I felt that to my soul!

I love everyone in these comments. Those who know, know! To me, there's nothing more sensitive and artistic than recognizing the enormous greatness of these lyrics, this melody, this musical construction, and the voice and talent of the actress. Joy is one of the greatest stars Broadway has ever seen, and we will still hear a lot about her. It really feels like it was her Tony moment, but if it wasn't this time, I'm excited for what it will be! I watched it live and was left breathless. Her presence, along with her control, are insane. It's a shame the audience keeps applauding in the middle of the song, which disrupts those who are involved and appreciating every detail. I wish I could go back in time to watch this performance live 50 more times. Joy is a STAR, one of those who came to light up everything wherever she goes.

I defy ..any critic that gave a mediocre.. review of this show...They don't know Crap...this song alone would be worth the ticket price

I don't know about the show itself but this song was meant for Joy Woods. She consumed it. She breathed it. She sang the heaven, the hell, the spirit, the mystery and the glory of life and everything we hope for in faith in and out of this song. I stand moved.
