I’m American and it’s hilarious that this guy has never used a wire before.
Wire nut is the most popular connector in the USA for the past 50 years. It just works. It takes all types of wires, it takes as many wires as you could fit in there and it doesn’t take up a lot of space in your outlet box.
The 3M wire nut is just the the new and improved model of a classic

Wire nuts are so common in the US that I'm sure there are several dozen in every house here in the wiring alone. Now if you want to add in all of them in the bottom of junk drawers and in baby food jars in basements and garages I'd say probably a couple hundred of these can be found in the typical american house. That's been my experience here so far anyway.

Coming from a humid area the amount of faults I get with screw connections and wire nuts is bananas, here it's either solder and heatshrink or gel connectors. I found the gel connectors work better on 14/0.2 sized wire than traditional mechanical screw connections

europe has some spring mounted terminal blocks that looks nice and easy - are these wirenuts 240V rated or only for low voltage?

My electrician uses wire nuts quite often. But not those one. I think generally for tempory connections.
