Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

Rick, I quit golf almost 20 years ago after a childhood that revolved around it, but about a year and half ago I started watching your videos (starting with the comparison video of a 90's Big Bertha (the club I used) vs one of today) and slowly started to get the itch to get back into it. I just wanted to say thank you because I finally pulled the trigger and got back out on the course last week and had an absolute blast. Thanks for helping me enjoy golf again!

These tips are life changing. I just seriously got into golf this year and probably shot an honest 120+. After a couple months of watching vids and practicing it at the range I'm probably at an honest 105 and hitting much cleaner shots. I'm hoping to break 100 this year.

Your videos have taken me from shotting in the low hundreds to high 80s and low 90's, within 45 days! Great channel!!!!

I haven’t played in ten years, but my wife recently had to play a round for the first time ever for work.
I’ve been binge watching your videos to help her.
This was the most helpful video so far.

My wife, myself, and now my 10 year old daughter have found a sport we can play together.
Keep doing what you do.

Rick, thank you so much for making golf lesson vids that aren’t 25 minutes long😂

Rick, I gotta say that ever since I started watching your instructionals my game has dramatically changed. I went from getting more and more frustrated with the game to having a blast, even with the now making little mistakes. You've helped me to identify so many inconsistencies with my game, especially my irons. I had no idea all the self-taught bad habits I've formed, even with driving. I've gone from a 100-105 player at best to the last two games I've played at an 87 then an 84. You've explained things in a way I understand and I'm truly grateful for the time you take to make these videos for people like me😊🙏

Rick, I want to say thanks man from across the pond. I grew up playing golf with my Dad and loved it. Sometime in High School I developed a slice with my woods. It destroyed my confidence and my game. I tried taking lessons, friends would offer me tips, but it always hung around. As I got older (now in my 30's), I played once a year in a charity golf tournament. Last year I started watching your channel and fell back in love with the game. Only one problem, my clubs I've had since HS. So I took your advice, went out and bought the Callaway Edge set the other day. They just came in last night! I grabbed a bag and unpacked them last night. Before going to the range today and watched your slice videos... IT WORKED! I don't slice with my driver anymore!

Tomorrow I'll be playing with my Dad for the first time since the pandemic started. We live State's away now, but they're visiting. I can't wait and truly want to thank you! And your team for making amazing content!

P.S. Your YouTube/social media team should vs Peter Finch's YouTube/social media team. Love the content and thank you again from NH, US

I've been out of golf for 8 years, I've gone to the range a few times now, but yesterday I went after watching some of your videos, and it helped me immensely. I was really connecting great with the ball yesterday. Thank you sir, I'm a believer. Liked and subbed.

Hi Rick, I’ve wanted to get into golf for years, and some things always got in the way. I’m now 40 and finally igniting my passion.

Watching your videos has helped me immensely, and I’ve had to subscribe.
Im so pleased I have so much more to watch to enable me to learn. Please keep the videos coming.

I was a single digit handicap in my 20s, but family and other responsibilities took over and I pretty much stopped playing. I have picked up the game again recently (in my 40s), and your videos have helped me remember things that I had forgotten as well as new things I probably never knew.

In just a couple months, I have gone from shooting mid-90s to breaking 80 again, and I know that these videos have been a big part of that improvement. Thank you Rick, your passion for golf (and life) is infectious and really comes through in these videos!

Great video. I’m a 20 year qualified PGA pro and my advice to amateurs is GRIP & ALIGNMENT. Work on these two things and you won’t be too far away. Sooo important.
Bonus tip; don’t take golf swing advice your mates especially when they’re no better than you.

I played my first ever real golf yesterday. Only 9 holes and wasn’t great but I stayed close with my uncle and grandpa who have golfed a decent bit in the past. I assume it was thanks to watching these videos. Even though I’m not good yet, I know some mechanical things that help me be competitive with other casual golfers

Hi Rick. As a left handed golfer, it is really, really helpful when you are talking about stats or breaking down the golf swing etc, when you refer to the front/lead (trail/rear) foot or hand, and slice/fade or hook/draw side instead of left/right. If the generic terms of left/right are mentioned, left handers have to reverse what you have said, to apply to being left handed, which sometimes gets muddled. I know its a small thing, but I reckon it would help out a large number of left handed golfers immensely. Fantastic channel, keep it up. Thanks from NZ

You videos have been a game changer... I'm playing the best golf of my life...My handicap has dropped 4 strokes this past year. I've given honest effort in my long irons but it doesn't seem to be helping my game...I only have 9 clubs in my bag including my putter...I found what works for me and I'm seeing good consistent settings...Thank you for videos...
