Our son was the same way! He told us when he was 10 years old that he wanted to go to Alaska to see the Northern Lights for his 18th birthday.

Well, he was in the middle of prom season when that date rolled around, so he graduated a couple of times and fast forward ten more years, he made his dream come true!

He booked everything himself, made some new friends, and learned some new things! It's an adventure he'll never forget.

Not sure if we could have handled it when he was 18, but at 28.... I have to admit that as his mom, I was still nervous about his solo trip! LoL 😂
