Just a little translation for Genshin players, if anyone needs it:
- Characters -> characters (duh)
- Trailblaze lvl -> adventure rank
- Equilibrium lvl -> world rank/lvl
- Lightcones -> weapons
- Superimposition -> refinement rank
- Traces -> talents (but on crack compared to genshin it seems)
- Relics -> artifacts (it seems individually they have less rng on main stat, but you have 6 instead of 5)
- Eidolon -> constellation
- Calix (Golden) -> Ley Line outcrops (those blue and gold orb thingies) for mora and exp books
- Calix (Crimson) -> talent book and weapon material domains (he only mentioned 'traces', but the description also says 'light cone material')
- Stagnant Shadow -> open world bosses (cubes, big flowers, robot chicken, etc.)
- Cavern of Corrosion -> artifact domains (for the 4pc sets)
- Echo of War -> weekly bosses
- Simulated Universe -> from what I've seen this is unique to Star Rail, but it is basically a second artifact domain for the 2pc sets
- Forgotten Hall -> Spiral Abyss
- Pom-Pom - basically Katheryne
- Warp -> wish

MAJOR TIP: Do not increase your equilibrium until you have maxed out your characters levels for the current available content, otherwise you way struggle to complete certain content if your characters become too underleveled. Similar to genshin's world level system

thank you for explaining everything as it is rather than directly correlating it to genshin terminology, which i feel is what most guides seem to do unhelpfully (especially considering this *is* a honkai game, despite having a lot of genshin systems). great video as always

As a long-time Genshin player, I am super looking forward to Star Rail, as turn based RPGs are usually my bread and butter. Been eyeballing this one for a hot minute and am super glad you're taking a deep dive to go over all the mechanics. Plenty looks super similar to Genshin, but I see a lot more to love that Hoyo has fine-tuned for the absolute best. Appreciate these deep dive videos and am looking forward to seeing more my dude!
