Malik Ambar is a hero for Maharashtra. He inspired the Marathas, especially Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to be independent, independence from Adil-Shahi, independence from Mughals. ‘Sivabharata’ is court poetry giving due respect to great hero’s of Maharashtra, which includes Malik Ambar.

The life hed have led is honestly horrifying yet inspiring. Taken as a boy, converted to a foreign religion, taken to a foreign land and made to fight foreigners for his slavers, but he rose through ranks to become a ruler who helped foster peace in the land he was taken to.
Also, his kingdom was the northern deccan, a very small portion of "south asia" which is odd given you also say India and south asian separately in the title, when historical they are the same.
